Salaam! Good morning! My name is Ubaida Abdallah and I am your curator for today. Enjoy! #CurateTamale

I run the blog . You can check it out for daily dose of entertainment news; local or otherwise.

As I take you on this journey through my Tamale, feel free to ask, comment or even add/correct me when you deem it fit.

And for my Dagomba friends, I am A MOOSHIE girl, so...let the fun begin I say! Lol #CurateTamale

The people of Tamale value respect...that's why you won't see a young person greeting an elderly person without squatting to the ground.

There is a long-standing friendship and friendly banter between the Mooshie and the Dagomba, that's why I can't walk through my hood without being told to go to spend the night in Kanvili, a suburb of Tamale that the Mooshie people CANNOT sleep in. Funny people!

The people of Tamale are one caring bunch...they literally want to see to it that their visitors are well fed and taken care of.

One thing about the people of Tamale that really gets me is the religious background.whether Muslim or Christian or Traditionalist, Respect is the bedrock of their interactions. Never have I heard or seen that a fight broke out amongst people because of religion

A lot of changes are happening in this beautiful city of mine. What used to be a very quiet and sombre town is now a bustling city with an endless amount of fun hungouts and places to just chill and relax.

We have a very beautiful edifice. The result of the CAN 2008,with Tamale being a host city..the Stadium

The Tamale Stadium
Lol..these Dagomba women won't allow me to rest..asking me when I'll be going to Kanviili...as if I feel like dying today..lmao!

One more thing I like about Tamale is how easy it is to get transportation to literally everywhere you want. It's that easy!!! No stress!

Invited...this is a mixture of rice, plantain, gari, eggs and its all for my tummy...I love food, I know!

Ubaida's lunch

For the first time ever, the Northern Region is going to honour her own! The Northern Music Award will be coming off tomorrow at Radach Lodge #CurateTamale

Still on food..we have a variety of local foods. Like 'Ny)mbeka' which is made from pounded bean leaves...Mmmmm

Nyonbeika
Who knows how to prepare 'gable'? A local food that is greatly consumed by the people of Tamale. Just be sure not to pass any gas. Lol

By the way, is coming up on the 15 of August, best be there...I'm going to be there as well. Lets do this!

Just back from town...miss me? lol. Tamale town smelled so sweet..it smelled of roasted corn and yam...oh yes!

Roasted Corn (Kawaan'shera in Dagbanli)
It's the close of the last day of work...and the city is bustling as people are hurriedly going home from their various work places..

It was pleasant hanging with you.Very honoured to have been given this opportunity.Thank you!Am eating Tuo Zaafi btw #CurateTamale

Soccer Fiesta: Tamale are you ready?

Event: Soccer Fiesta

Venue: Nobisco Football Pitch, Tamale

Date: 25th July, 2015.

Time: 8:00am till you want to go home.

#SoccerFiesta is the hottest thing happening in Tamale this month. It is a social event hoping to bring people together through sports and recreational activities.
At #SoccerFiesta there will be games like football, scrabble, wali/oware, ludo, FIFA video games, draught, etc.

Make #SoccerFiesta the first event you take part in after the #Ramadan. This event will support charity with proceeds and donations from participants. You will not only have fun, you will be contributing meaningfully to society while burning off some calories and networking.

The event will open with the highly anticipated exhibition match between #ThinkAfrik and the Northern Education Support Initiative (NESI); two groups making strides towards social change.

Come watch smart women from the aforementioned institutions pit their wits against each other in football.

Here are some of the teams that will be represented at Nobisco this 25th July. Come cheer your favourite team and meet new people.

Follow @soccer_fiesta on Twitter for more information and updates on the event. If you are in Tamale, do well to take part in #SoccerFiesta
